About Hannah — trauma-informed coach and narcissistic abuse specialist
I am a trauma-informed mental wellbeing practitioner from Stockport, UK, and the founder of Emberlight Mental Wellbeing.
My professional background
Before stepping into the mental health field, I spent eleven years in workplace contact centres within the online iGaming industry. I progressed from entry-level roles to senior leadership across multiple sites and countries.
I understand the pressure of targets, audits, regulatory changes, redundancies, and the responsibility of leading people. I’ve experienced first-hand the toll this takes on the nervous system, workplace culture, and overall performance
What I do
Drawing on both my professional background and lived experience, I deliver mental wellbeing education and workshops that create meaningful change.
My trauma-informed, nervous-system-led approach is practical, relatable, and genuinely useful — not just another box-ticking exercise. I help people understand their stress responses and inner patterns in ways that truly land and can be applied every day, benefiting individuals, their teams, and their customers.
I deliver Teenage Relationship Red Flags workshops, because I don’t want the next generation growing up thinking control, pressure, or fear is normal. Young people deserve to understand what healthy relationships actually feel like, and to recognise the early signs of coercive control before it escalates.
My specialism: supporting women and trauma recovery
My biggest passion is supporting women through trauma, with a specialism in domestic abuse — a path shaped by my own experiences. I’ve been the woman who looked like she had it all while quietly falling apart. This lived understanding sits at the heart of my work.
How I work (1:1 support)
In my somatic, trauma-informed one-to-one sessions and intensive days, I blend nervous system regulation with Internal Family Systems at the core. I help clients build kinder, safer relationships with their inner world. My approach is warm, honest, and down to earth — breaking away from traditional mental health models.
Clients leave with practical tools, deeper self-trust, and the confidence to heal from the inside out.
I also deliver Teenage Relationship Red Flags workshops, because I don’t want the next generation growing up thinking control, pressure, or fear is normal. Young people deserve to understand what healthy relationships actually feel like, and to recognise the early signs of coercive control before it escalates.
Accessibility and support
My confidential support is available in person locally in Stockport, as well as online — so help can meet you wherever you are.
You don’t have to do this alone!
My coaching approach
In my 1-2-1 coaching sessions, I gently combine somatic trauma-informed expertise with positive psychology techniques.
These evidence-based approaches help you reconnect with your body, calm your nervous system, and release patterns that keep you stuck in survival mode — creating a safe space for healing and rediscovering your light.
The meaning behind Emberlight
Emberlight Mental Wellbeing was born from my own experience of darkness. Inspired by the phoenix, Emberlight is about emerging, not as someone new, but remembering who you’ve always been. It represents the thread of identity, dignity, and worth that was never truly lost.
A little bit about me!

Trauma, abuse, and awareness
I’m not speaking about this from the outside.
I was the woman holding everything together while living through a cycle of abusive relationships. I know what it’s like to question yourself, to minimise what’s happening, and to carry on as if everything is fine when it really isn’t.
My marriage brought another layer.
When I was in the eye of the storm, navigating post-separation abuse and watching the unravelling of my husband’s behaviour, everything felt relentless. The pain being projected onto me. The sleepless nights. The constant, buzzing sense of terror running through my body.
I was the woman who kept a car packed with an overnight bag, just in case I needed to escape with my son.I was the woman whose body carried the weight of it all, losing three dress sizes in eight weeks from the chronic stress, the false allegations, and the relentless smear campaigns. This wasn’t just emotional. It was physical. It was consuming. And yet, underneath it all, I felt a deep sadness. Because what I saw in front of me wasn’t just a man causing harm. It was a wounded child steering a man’s body. That didn’t make it acceptable. But it made me curious.Even in survival mode, I knew there was more at play. My soul held empathy, but I had to harden. I had to survive. And in doing that, I lost parts of myself along the way.
So I began to study.
I studied myself. My patterns. The ways I had learned to tolerate, minimise, and stay. I did the work to heal those parts so I would never again allow that level of abuse into my world. And I studied narcissistic behaviour, not from a place of judgment, but from a place of deep understanding.Because I needed answers. And now, I use that understanding to support others who have been broken by it.
That is something I feel deeply proud of….
I’ve been where you are. And the work I offer now is the work that helped me heal.
More of my work…..about the book
Hosted by Susie Sprigg, brings together 18 powerful stories from women in business who reached their “f**k it” moment, the point where they chose to step beyond fear, self-doubt, and playing small.
I’m proud to be one of the contributing authors, sharing my story alongside incredible women who have rebuilt, rediscovered themselves, and created lives and businesses with purpose.
This book is filled with honest, real stories of reinvention, resilience, and courage from finding your voice to choosing yourself and turning life experience into growth.
It’s a reminder that your story matters.
Your voice is your light and it deserves to be seen.
